About

After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011, I lived in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region for two years. Having previously studied abroad in both Shanghai and Beijing, I wanted to see a new side of the country I had grown to love, the vast perplexing China that is not just hutong and Hokkien, Shanghai and Suzhou, but equally the Himalayas and the Karakoram, the Gobi and the Taklamakan. This blog is meant to provide a multimedia rendering of my life in China’s Central Asia.
